FACT Act and Privacy Policy Disclosures

The FACT Act

In order to comply with a new federal law, the Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act of 2003, Bank of Pontiac is required to provide the following notice to our customers:

"We may report information about your accounts to credit bureaus. Late payments, missed payments, or other defaults on your accounts may be reflected in your credit report."

Bank of Pontiac is committed to providing the highest level of security and privacy regarding the collection and use nonpublic personal information. This Privacy Policy is being provided to you to explain how we safeguard your personal information and to comply with the guidelines set forth by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. This Act deals in part with how financial institutions treat nonpublic personal information.

Other important Information

For Alaska, Illinois, Maryland and North Dakota Customers.  We will not share personal information with nonaffiliates either for them to market to you or for joint marketing – without your authorization.

For California Customers. We will not share personal information with nonaffiliates either for them to market to you or for joint marketing – without your authorization. We will also limit our sharing of personal information about you with our affiliates to comply with all California privacy laws that apply to us. 

For Massachusetts, Mississippi and New Jersey Customers. We will not share personal information from deposit or share relationships with nonaffiliates either for them to market to you or for joint marketing – without your authorization. 

For Vermont Customers. We will not share personal information with nonaffiliates for them to market to you without your authorization and we will not share personal information with affiliates or for joint marketing about your creditworthiness without your authorization.
